How to Apply
We follow the standard Hertfordshire County Council admissions process (excluding Nursery). Applications should be submitted through the Hertfordshire Schools Admissions portal.

- Offer day: 16th April
- Start date: September
In-Year Admissions
We welcome applications throughout the school year, subject to availability. Please contact our school office to discuss current vacancies.
What Happens Next?
Once you have applied:
- You will receive confirmation of your application
- We may invite you for an informal meeting
- Offers will be communicated on the specified date
Successful applicants will receive a welcome pack with transition information.

Supporting Your Child's Transition
We understand that starting school is a significant milestone. Our comprehensive transition program includes:
- Stay and play sessions for new Reception children
- Meet the teacher opportunities
- Buddy systems with older pupils
- Gradual settling-in periods
- Regular communication with families during the first term
Nursery Admissions
Willow Tree has a small friendly Nursery for children who have their 4th birthday during that academic year.
We accept applications for 15 hours provision for eligible families. To find out if you are eligible, please click here to visit our Free Childcare page.
Our sessions run Monday to Friday:
Morning Session: 8.35am - 11.35am
Nursery Admissions are managed by Willow Tree School.

Reception Admissions
Reception admissions are managed by the Herts Admissions Team.
Applications open: 1st November 2024
Applications close: 15th January 2025
Applications must be made here. Applications after this date may still be made, but they will be considered to be late.
Please note: having a Nursery place is no guarantee of a main school place. There is a separate application procedure for Reception class.
